Searching for a King

16 02 2010

I used to believe that voting was of the utmost significance; I said that if you didn’t vote, you had no room to complain about how the nation was being run (into the ground….)

Now, I disagree: how do you vote if your complaint is against the entire system? Who do you vote for when none qualify but the One they crucified? Which political party is composed of lovers? Who’s platform is truth? Who will be our King?

And so once again, God’s people cry out for a king. But this time we pray for the sovereignty of One who is not flesh and blood. One who’s law is love, who’s gospel is peace.

“Chains shall He break
For the slave is our brother.
And in His name
All oppression shall cease.”

–O Holy Night; Placide Cappeau
